Greetings from Denmark - our weather is probably not as tough as urs in Norway. We do get our share of salt on the road - from what I've seen I think we actually get more than u do which is why I try to stay off the roads untill it's been washed away.
By now I have 24.000 kms on my '99 Savage and am still on the original belt. As some of the others have posted earlier I have noticed some light stripes on the outside of the belt - some say that this is the first - let's see - so ar I'm trusting the most optimistic predictions ;-)
